How is everyone doing out there? Tell me about your upcoming exhibitions, projects, or any ups and downs in your art world you would like to share in the comments...
Life in art is so up and down isn't it? I have my debut solo show in 8 weeks time. This week I have gone from the biggest dip on the roller-coaster to the highest high!! Luckily since then its stabilised, and now productivity is in a state of pure flow...lovely feeling. Since the stress, I have felt liberated and my creative brain has been highly active. I know it will be a success - but I had to have the wobble first!!
I love being an artist. Even its ups and downs are worth it.
I just blogged about the highs and lows of being a textile artist at a local art festival in Southern California: http://tinyurl.com/yh2puuf I do get a wee tired of explaining to folk that the teeny art quilts aren't COASTERS!
as a person who earns the majority of his income doing commercial art.... I have had conversations just like this...AND recently!!! add in a bad economy...well....THANKS, HILARIOUS!!!
I loved these videos Megan. My friend is a graphic designer and I must show it to him. They made me laugh.
I'm doing fine - recovering from being unwell during the week and beside my lovely man just now. I haven't been too creative with my photos lately but Sleepyduck and I are off to Berlin for a short holiday next weekend so hopefully that will change. Hope you're having a nice weekend xxx
Why thank you for asking. I have several very cool projects in the works. All of which are completely top secret and/or classified. That way nobody can tell me that the work sucks before it is published and exhibited. Shit, I think that may have been secret.... -t
Love these videos!!
