Unsure steps are taken ever forward

The sign hangs on by a thread (or one metal bar). Leith's motto is "persevere" and boy do we ever. Aren't we all and aren't we tired of persevering and shoring ourselves up with resilience. It's a hard time in the world, collectively and for many of us, personally. So we hang on and get battered by the winds of change just like this sign. 

Yet, the flowers are starting to come up and unsure steps are taken ever forward into the unknown.
